A bio about me? I’ve been blogging about 14 years now. I started in 2000 after a messy, painful divorce. I’ve since walked down the long path to finding myself. I’ve blogged about politics, activism and technology, but this my most personal of spaces. It seems like the more I explore, the less I find I know about the world and many times, myself.
I spent a lot of my teen years trying to lose myself, my 20’s trying to find happiness in marriage, and my 30’s transitioning. I finally realized I could be the master of who and what I wanted to be. If there is any way to really find yourself, I have.
I have a silly cat (Lola):
She was rescued from a shelter. It doesn’t seem right to me to buy a pet from a breeder or a store when there are so many adorable and lovable pets in shelters who need a good home. Lola has been there for me when many humans haven’t been.
These days my focus is on the future and making a better life for myself. I enjoy digital photography, running, walking, and biking. I enjoy volunteering for political, queer, and progressive organizations. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my friends and the people who love me. It’s what makes life worth living.
